Attributes

Attributes can be linked to every object and/or to every point in an object. This might be text, the radius between 2 sequential points in a line, borderlines, etc.

Individual Points

When individual points are logged and digitized, Terrain Model (database) does not interpret heights as having to be interpolated between these points. Examples of such points in the model would be manholes, posts, trees, road signs, bore-holes, etc.

Information

Lines or points without indication of height at the points. This is information, which is desirable on plan-drawings and profiles. Examples include property borders, fences, high-tension power lines, and houses.

Object

“Object” means graphical element, terrain line or individual point. Most objects have no name while unique object names are used for identification in special cases. For example, element data (10-tables) are identified by object name.

Terrain lines

A series of points for which height is interpolated, by the linear method, between sequential points. Examples of terrain lines are height curves, bottoms of trenches, streams, and edges of carriageways, where each point on the line is assigned a height. All terrain lines in the model are considered to be breaklines, which are subject to linear interpolation.
