Coordinate Annotation
The function customises the Coordinate Annotation.
Menu: Bridge Tools Coordinate Annotation
Toolbar: Tools Coordinate Annotation
The dialog box 'Coordinate Annotation' will pop up.
Direct Annotation (Default)
The coordinate values are written directly on the drawing.
Alpha Numeric Annotation
Writes a reference number to the coordinate point on the drawing and the coordinates are to be read from the Coordinate table, which is generated from the tool 'Coordinate Table'.
Arabic Numeric Annotation
Writes a reference Arabic numeral to the coordinate point on the drawing and the coordinates are to be read from the Coordinate table, which is generated from the tool 'Coordinate Table'.
Roman Numeric Annotation
Writes a reference roman numeral to the coordinate point on the drawing and the coordinates are to be read from the Coordinate table, which is generated from the tool 'Coordinate Table'.
Start value
If alphanumeric, Arabic numerals or roman numerals are opted, you will have the privilege to select desired start number. The program automatically calculates the first free number in the drawing.
Draw circle at coordinate point
Draws a circle at the coordinate point. See above four annotations with circle at the start of leader line. Mark the check box if desired to have circles at coordinate point.
Choose UCS
Shows all the stored UCS in the drawing. The current UCS is default. The UCS name is stored together with the reference symbol in the drawing. When you later draw a table, the reference coordinate point will be calculated according to the stored UCS.
Write coordinates in WCS
Mark the checkbox if you wish, the coordinates to be calculated in WCS and the annotations to be written in UCS. This is used on plan drawing that will be shown rotated in paperspace.
Write 3D Coordinates
The elevation values can also be obtained along with X and Y Coordinates. This is applicable only for Direct Annotation. See the below shown output of Default Annotation.
Draw annotation
Tip: Adjust the SNAP setting to fit to your actual type of point.
Command prompts for:
Pick the coordinate point or enter a new symbol name <5 >:
Pick the coordinate, for which coordinate details are required.
Pick text point:
Pick the second point of the leader line.
Pick the coordinate point or enter a new symbol name <2 >:
If the reference numeral is to be changed enter the new numeral or pick the second coordinate, for which coordinate details are desired. Continue the same process till all the coordinate points for which the coordinate details are desired, are selected. The function continues to be active after you have written the annotation text for all the desired points. This means that you can ;continue to pick coordinate points on the drawing and write annotation text without choosing the Coordinate Annotation function again. Finish with the key Return or ESC or the Right button of the mouse.
The Coordinate Annotation is written when you pick the text point.
Annotation will be drawn on a new layer B_Symbol_0 (Novapoint creates).
If you choose an annotation option other than Direct, you can enter a new value directly on the command line. It does not matter if you type in a letter or a digit. The program will check if the value already exist and try to increase the value for the next symbol. If you choose to type a Roman numeral, you have to start with the letter R.
Legal values
Examples of legal values given on the command line are:
Normal values that will be increased automatically are: 1, 234, A, X, RI, RXX
Values that will not be increased automatically are: a, ;AB12, 12AB, RIX, ab
If the program cannot increase the value for the next symbol, you will get a message.
