New point elevations – reference

The function 'New point elevations – reference' calculates the height for a new point elevation based on the distance from the reference point and the current slope. The points can be set out running, with the first point as reference, untill the function is terminated by pressing enter. The current slope can be adjusted at any time by entering an option keyword at the commandline. Slope and height can be locked at any time.

When the function is started you get this sequence:

´Specify basepoint or [Pick Height]`: pick the position of the new height in the drawing (plussign), alternativliy press ´P` and select an exsisting point height.

´Enter height <0.0000>`: type height, press enter

´Specify next point [Pick height/HEight/SLope]`: the first height is now defined, by moving the coursor you will se the height and distance change in realtime, based on the set slope. Pick a position for the new height. At this step you can select an existing point anytime by typing 'P':

  • ´Pick height`: type ´P` - select a new point by clicking it.
  • ´HEight`: type ´he` - locks the height to see how the slope changes in realtime
  • ´SLope`: type ´sl`- enter the new value for slope, press <enter>

Arrows point downwards onto lower heights. Press the ctrl-button to get a positive slope.
