Updates in Novapoint Tunnel

Version 18.20.FP4g 64 bit

Note: For railroad projects now all heights in the cross-section definition refer to “SOK” and not to the horizontal reference line height.

  • It is now possible to run NP Tunnel without the terrain model. This is included as an option in the Tunnel Project Setup dialog.
  • When the user pushes the button “Store” in the dialogs for rock support- and geology registration, the data is now always stored to the files. Previous it was stored to the memory model in cases where these dialogs were opened from other dialogs containing the “Cancel” button.
  • The error message systems for 3D drawing, volume calculation and export of survey data is now improved.
  • When the user pushed “OK” in the geology- and rock support dialog, the dialog was closed before the data were stored - leading to the destruction of the data file if the user later terminated Novapoint. This is now corrected so that the dialog is not closed before the data are stored.
  • The graphical response when defining a geometric impossible niche is now improved in the Tunnel Design dialog.
  • For some situations the 3D drawing failed so that the total perimeter was not drawn or the function crashed. This is now corrected.
  • Steep upward tunnels were drawn as a peak on the longitudinal profile. This is now corrected.
  • The cross-section drawing crashed when no tunnel project is defined. This is now corrected.
  • When the user changed the config file in the Draw 3D dialog, the dialog is not refreshed so parts of the dialog remained white. This is now corrected.
  • For some projects the inner profile was not drawn in the draw cross-section dialog. This is now corrected.
  • The plan drawing function for geology and rock support registration produced a strange error message. This is now corrected.
  • Two tunnels after each other on the same road were in some situations drawn as one long tunnel when using the the Draw as 3DFace option. This is now corrected.
  • The error messages produced when the user shortens the road so that it is shorter than the tunnel are now improved.
  • In the dialog for defining the inner profile, the wall heights for a cross-section with straight walls were shown with wrong values the second time the dialog was opened. This is now corrected.
  • The Geology Registration dialog: The system now remembers from session to session what you chose as the reference for stroke: North or Tunnel Face.
  • In the dialog for defining cross tunnel cross-section geometry, the users were asked if they wanted to save the changes if just an export of data was performed. This is now corrected.
  • The feedback to the users is improved when the scanner data file name is changed.
  • The cross-section definition dialog for crossing tunnel crashed for some values and combinations of keys when working with the table for defining the inner profile. This is now corrected.
  • The cross-section geometry for crossing tunnels turned wrong when the opening angle for the bows on the cross-section were more than 180 degrees. This is now corrected.
  • The geometry was not always correctly generated when a niche was defined inside a crossing tunnel. This is now corrected.
  • The columns for station number and beta angle can now be sorted in the dialog for defining crossing tunnels.
  • The offset text disappeared in the dialog for cross-section definition for crossing tunnels when the user clicked on “Save as New”. This is now corrected.
  • The system stopped working when the user defined a crossing tunnel with lower station number than supported by the main geometry.
  • The icons for crossing tunnels and niches, the texts in the element tree in the Tunnel Design dialog and the dialogs for defining niche types are now improved.
  • The crossing tunnel definition dialog crashed when a niche was defined on the opposite side of the crossing tunnel. This is now corrected.
  • In the dialog for registration of rock support, the stars marking errors on the tabs were not removed when the errors were corrected. They are removed now.
  • Sometimes the droplet symbols were not drawn correctly in the geology registration dialog. This is corrected now.
  • The railroad rails in the Tunnel Design dialog were sometimes drawn with dashed lines. This is corrected now.
  • A button is now included in the Draw 3D dialog that shrinks the dialog height so that it fits on screen with low resolution.

Updates in Novapoint WS Product Library

Novapoint 18.20/18.30 contains a substantial upgrade of the Product Library. In addition to including new vendors, we have also made several improvements and added new functionality.

  • Extented the amount of data attached to the products.
  • Possible to change/swap products in the model with products from the library by using the function “Erstatt” (Replace).
  • Access to a list of different tables when using the function « og tabell» (Tag and table). Option to chose one or more tables from the list.
  • New function for updating product information in old drawings. The function scans the drawing en updates all information according to current version of the Produkt Library.
  • New properties window, mark a product in the drawing and the product information will show in the window.
  • The user interface has been cleaned up by removing a column from the properties window in the library.

NOTE! Drawings/models made with earlier versions of the Product Library will no longer be compatible with the new version because the product information in these drawings are not up to date. To update old drawings, simply run the function «Oppdater produktinformasjon i aktiv tegning» (Update product information in active drawing). When this is done, the drawings can be scanned and reported with the new tables.

New vendors:

  • Kongsberg Esco AS: We have added Kongsberg Esco's Aquosus series. In addition to this we have also made a dedicated parts list that can be used when ordering parts to Aquosus from Kongsberg Esco. We have also added the WAGA series and firevalves. More products from Kongsberg Esco will be added throughout the fall.

  • Honeywell: We have added a variety of products; pressure reducing valves, strainers, filters, recoil check valves and control valves.

  • Sigum AS: We have added butterfly valves, knife gate valves and needle valves from Erhard.

New products from existing vendors:

  • AVK: We have added the complete Supa Maxi series, couplings, flange adaptors, end caps, and transition couplings. In addition to this we have also added various airvalves. Other new products includes amongst others: gate valves for wastewater, firevalves, hydrant, extension spindles, street covers and more.

  • Basal: We have added drainers, stormreceptors and manhole decks.

  • Pipelife: We have added Pragma stormwater pipes, DV drain pipes, risers and cable pipes.

  • Østraadt Rør: We have completed the different manhole dimensions and have also added bends for concrete pipes.

Bugfixes: In the previous version it was not possible to rotate around a user selected basepoint of the block. This is now fixed.

Known issues: When using the function «Oppdater produktinformasjon i aktiv tegning», all blocks that originally was set out according to a user defined UCS will be reoriented back according to «world UCS». Blocks that have changed name will not be updated.
