Give-way-line

The angle from P2 to P3 is used for aligning the give-way-line symbols.

All SNAP functions in AutoCAD can be utilized for accurate positioning.

The following parameters define the give-way-line design:

There are two ways to access and edit a give-way-line once it has been designed. One can use AutoCAD Grips (click the give-way-line object to highlight it) or optionally use right mouse click while holding the Ctrl key down.

See User Interface for more details.

Give-way-line

This function is used for designing give-way-lines. ;

MOUS_ICO Toolbar: Road Marking: Give way -line
MOUS_ICO Menu: Road Marking Give way -line

Design

The function activates the following command line sequence:

Setup/<Enter point or press ENTER to select>: (P1)

By choosing "Setup" the Road Marking setup dialogue is accessed, allowing the user to make changes to the give- way- line parameters. The method used for give- way- line design is dependant of what action the user chooses. One can pick a point in the drawing (P1) and activate the three point procedure, or one can press ENTER and pick a pre-designed polyline which the give-way-line shall follow.

Undo/ <Endpoint of line>: (P2)

Angle « 100g =1»: (P3)

This option controls the baseline angle of which the give-way-line markings will follow. Input can be done using keyboard values or by picking the angle from the drawing. When picking from the drawing, a rubber band will appear from the base point (P2) and the angle is applied by picking a third point (P3) defining the angle.
