CSV File formats explained
The user needs to specify the folder where the application needs to look for fieldbook information.
The following files are supported and recognized:
- A*.csv: 1 file per directory – contains general project information
- Structure B*.csv: 1 file per directory – contains observational data from stations and referencepoints (backsight, foresight)
- Structure C*.csv: 0..1 file per directory – contains coordinates for known points (from GPS for example)
- Format D*.csv: 0..n files per directory – contains detail point observations (angles/distances)
- E*.CSV: 0..n files per directory – contains coordinates for the calculated detailpoints
Thus, the user can import a single file, or all files that belong to the same project at once
The following workflow can be used:
- If there is an E*.CSV file the B* and D* files are not needed, since detailpoints have been calculated and this file can be used directly to create the features from.
- If there is not an E*.csv file, then there is at least a B*.csv and D*.csv required to be able to calculate the network. If there is a C*.csv file, this means that some points are already known and these will be used to calculate the network.
- However, if there's no C*.CSV, the project will be calculated locally using the settings as defined in the options for the first setup's coordinates.
