Move existing objects
This command can be used to change the location of a single point, or move a cluster of points over the same delta values.
The user should follow the procedure below:
- select the correct position (either by grabbing position from GPS, or by clicking the position manually in the drawing
- select a SINGLE REFERENCE object : this should be a single block. This item will be used to calculate delta values between insertion point of the block, and the correct position. These values can then be used to move the single reference object, but can also be used to move ohter blocks, where same translation should get applied. Selecting the reference object is done by clicking the GET REF INFO button
- you can now move this object to the correct position by clicking the MOVE REF button
- if there are other blocks, that should get the same translation, these can be selected by clicking the PICK OTHERS button.
- When the user has selected some other objects, a label should appear stating the number of usable objects
- The user can decide to move the objects in 2D or in 3D
- click on the button MOVE OTHERS to move them to their correct position.
This function has also an extended capability, which makes it possible to set 2 specific attributes. If the selected blocks have attributes and the tagname = FID or DATUM, then these attributes can be filled in automatically with the current date (and time), and the FID attribute will get the heighest next available number. This is usefull, when you want to apply a single unique numbering system to the moved objects. If you want to use this functionality, you should set the checkbox for Invullen FID en DATUM attributes.
If you want to know what the heighest number used in the drawing is, you can click on the button Find Max FID in DWG. For example if you are keeping track of each modified object by creating a dedicated picture or some other sheet that needs to get linked later on.
Moved objects will reside on the following layer after this operation has been used: * If user specified to use date in layername: M_[DATE]_originallayer * If user specified not to use date in layername: M_originallayer
