Channel Cross-Section
This function will construct the channel cross-section and insert values to channel (road) model for cross-section and quantity calculation.
Menu: Waterway Channel Cross-Section
Following dialog will pop up: The cross-section details, mentioned below are to be defined.
- Select centreline. All alignments defined in the project are listed in the pull down menu.
- Select “Left Edge line”. Pick desired alignment from the dialog that will pop up. Use method “0 - Distance from a line, slope from surface”. The selected alignment will be defined as channel surface edge and it will set channel width.
- Repeat the process for “Right Edge line”
- If desired, specify “Soil cut” slope and “Rock cut” slope. Default values for soil cut is 0.5 e.g. 1:1 and for rock cut 10 e.g. 10:1
- Press OK to save and insert values to Channel (Road) model
- Channel model may be now started and cross-section calculation executed
