Draw Channel

This function draws channel edge lines using parameters specified in the Channel Geometry- dialog.

Menu: Waterway Draw Channel
Toolbar: Waterway Draw Channel

Command prompts for: Pick Alignment: Select the horizontal alignment e.g. centreline from drawing. Program accepts only alignment that is created by Alignment Design- function and/or drawn to screen using “Draw Horizontal Alignment”- function. After selecting alignment program displays an Alignment Analysis dialog box. If selected alignment does not fill the requirements of design ship an error message and suggestions for proper design parameter is displayed. Example of results using turn type trapezoid:

Tip: Use Novapoint Base menu function “Object menu (NCO)” to save edge lines to Terrain model. Select function, pick edge line to be saved to terrain model and select from pop-up menu “Save in Terrain Model”.
